Valladolid 2 - Sevilla FC 1

A team with players that don't create chances to score gets a defeat. This is clear. It is a good thing that Valladolid failed a few clear opportunities because otherwise the final score could have been an embarrassment for Sevilla FC and its supporters. Valladolid played better and deserve the victory.
Once again, the first half given away and reaction at the end of the game. What are the odds? How many goals are we going to score with ten minutes remaining when we have wasted 80? Does anybody want to answer this positively?
It seems that the general sense is that Sevilla FC needs to get rid off players that earn millions and do literally NOTHING! The club got Jimenez out, well, same principle needs to be applied with a large group of players!
We are crying that the Copa del Rey final is in Barcelona... I ask: does a location matter right now when a team, with my respect to Valladolid, trying to save themselves from relagation can embarrass a team seeking top 4? Come on, give me a break!

Malaga 1 - Sevilla FC 2

A game in which lack of control of the ball, dirty tackles and wasting time were the main themes as in any "derbi." Palop's error was recompensated with Malaga's keeper mistake that Cala took advantage of.

We are still missing a dynamic midfield. We lack an organizer. I liked Cala on the right wing!

The winning goal for Sevilla was a strong and unexpected Lolo's head up!

A better game overall for Sevilla. In the second half, once again, the defense especially started to relax and brought anxiety to the fans. Kanoute, LuisFa and Jose Carlos in a good free kick scored his first goal in first division!

Next stop... Malaga!

It has been a while since I last wrote a few lines about our team. In all honestly, I didn't feel there was that much to write about unless I kept repeating myself game after game about the game, the players, the coach and perhaps, everything around me!

Things have changed too, Sevilla FC has a new manager/coach. Antonio Alvarez, second coach when Juande Ramos led Sevilla FC to our historical success, is the man commanding the ship. No matter who sits in the bench, there is always something to support:

A game in which none of the team enjoyed enough chances to take the three points. Sevilla is balancing in the 4th position and drwas are not a good thing if they want to move forward with that place being safe. Romaric saw the red card and will miss the next game against Real Madrid.

CSKA Moscow 1 - Sevilla FC 1 [Champions League]

A game that Sevilla FC played without any brilliance, as usual. One of the few opportunities was materialized by Negredo. The return in the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan waiting for the team to step up on performance and seal the pass to quaterfinals!!!

Mallorca 1 - Sevilla FC 3

Safe in the fourth position after winning a game that started complicated with a goal down before the 5 mins mark! The bad referee who sent off Negredo in the first half, also sent off a Mallorca player balancing the game. However, Sevilla's performance didn't feel they were playing with a man down. They created more danger then. With Sevilla pushing forward, it was a matter of time before Drago put the 1-2 with a direct free kick and Perotti pushed the ball into the net after a nice play between Navas y LuisFa.
Awainting to see what Valencia is doing Monday against Getafe.

Getafe 1 - Sevilla FC 0 [Copa del Rey - 2nd leg Semis]

To the final suffering for mins!
Getafe gave an exhibition of football and keep every Sevilla fan on mere suspense until the end. The team lacked attitude, ambition. There was no flow. Players were absent, not one but a few which allowed Getafe to impose his football. Palop ensured Sevilla made it through to the final.
We will face an old friend, the Patetico de Madrid on May 26...
